Sunday FUNday pt. VII: De Anza x La Jolla x Downtown

Man, I'm always playing catch up when it comes to my blogging.  Too freakin' busy, so much to do, so little time.  So last Sunday FUNday (4/5/09), we wanted to head out somewhere along SD's coast because it was such a beautiful day.  We first attempted to go to De Anza Cove to meet up with ColCol at a BBQ.  None of us knew where De Anza Cove was, we just assumed it was by Belmont Park in the Mission Bay area.  FAIL!  We got caught up in a ton of traffic because everyone was trying to hit the beach, and we eventually figured out that De Anza Cove was off the 5 freeway and that we sat in all that f'in traffic for nothing.

Eventually, after about 45 minutes in traffic, we finally made it to De Anza.

It was pretty uneventful at De Anza Cove, so we all took off to La Jolla.

We thought it would be cooler by the coast....nope!  So we grabbed some ice cream from a street vendor.

It was such a hot day that we wanted to indulge in some refreshing alcoholic beverages.  So we stopped off at Fred's downtown to down a couple margaritas.

After having a couple of drinks, we wanted to grab some grub, so we hit up Royal Thai for some tasty Thai food.
